Thieves Swipe Copper From Tampa Church

TAMPA, FL (AP) -- Tampa police are investigating a copper theft at an area church. The Reverend Danny Schaffner noticed copper coils from two large air conditioning units at the church were missing on Tuesday.

Schaffner started the Common Ground Christian Church nine weeks ago after he and his family moved to Florida from Indiana. He says the church will likely be without a heating or cooling system for a few weeks.
