
OCALA, FL (AP) -- A former NFL punter if facing criminal charges after an investigation revealed that he had been buying stolen goods and reselling the merchandise for a profit.
Rick Tuten was arrested yesterday and charged with two counts of dealing in stolen property. He was released from Marion County jail on 20-thousand dollars bond.
The Marion County sheriff's office says deputies began investigating Tuten when they learned he purchased a stolen all-terrain vehicle. He allegedly purchased other ATVs and electronics from suspects arrested for multiple burglaries.
Tuten played 12 season in the NFL for Philadelphia, Buffalo, Seattle and St. Louis. His final season was 1999 with the Rams.
