FORT MYERS, FL (AP) -- A three-year-old Fort Myers boy remains in the hospital as police search for the driver who ran over him twice last night.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, the driver of a white truck backed over the boy, then rolled over him a second time before taking off. The car was found a few blocks away, but the driver has not been located.
Authorities say the boy is in critical condition but should recover from his injuries. Witnesses said he was one of several children in the parking lot at the time of the accident.
