FLAGLER COUNTY, FL -- The Flagler County Sheriff's Office says it has received several calls from people who may have been patients of a man accused of practicing medicine without a license.
Flagler County investigators say Donnie Hendrix has been running an illegal silicone clinic out of his bedroom for months.
"Typical injection costs between $400 to $600 depending on what you were getting done, your butt, face, chest," said Flagler County Sheriff's Officer David Obrien.
His latest appointment was with two Jacksonville strippers who wanted silicone in their buttocks.
Turns out they were undercover cops!
"I couldn't believe he'd do it, really, I couldn't believe he'd do it, I know don," said neighbor Linda Misiewicz
Neighbors can't believe it but detectives say Hendrix has been injecting dozens of people with silicone meant for furniture not humans!
"This chemical is very dangerous, it's not to be introduced into the body, it's not approved through the medical field at all," said Obrien.
Investigators say Hendrix has been down this road before.
He served two years behind bars in Broward County in 2003 after he was found guilty of operating without a license and culpable negligence.
In that case a woman died when her lungs filled with silicone after an injection.
"He got in trouble for it awhile ago and he did it again, and now he has to pay for what he did, it's sad," said neighbor Lisa Harrison.
Hendrix is being held at the Flagler County Jail on no bond.
