GAINESVILLE, FL -- The FBI and the University of Florida are trying to find out who illegally accessed a computer at the UF College of Dentistry.
That computer held personal information, including social security numbers, of over 344,000 patients, dating all the way back to 1990.
The investigators say they have no evidence that the person stole anyone's identity or did anything else with the personal information.
Everyone who had personal information on that computer will be receiving a letter from the authorities explaining the situation.
