HOLLYWOOD, FL (AP) -- A 32-year-old man who allegedly lured a teenage girl from California to South Florida through conversations on his MySpace page has been arrested.
Ansen Brown was arrested in South Carolina on Wednesday. Authorities say he's being held without bail and is refusing to sign an extradition waiver. It could be weeks before he's returned to Florida. Brown faces a sexual molestation charge.
Hollywood police say an officer in Greenville, South Carolina, noticed Brown "acting strangely" near a motel. A computer check of Brown's license revealed that a warrant had been issued for his arrest.
Brown allegedly bought a plane ticket for the Fullerton, California, teen and promised her a break into showbusiness. Police say Brown sexually molested the 15-year-old at a Hollywood apartment.
