ORLANDO, FL (AP) -- At least two people in the Orlando area have Legionnaires' disease, a respiratory illness that can be fatal.

Orange County Health Department spokesman Dane Weister says the two were staying at a hotel. He says there are no further reported cases of the disease and no deaths.

Further information will be released during a news conference Friday afternoon.

The disease is caused by an organism that occurs naturally in water.

Symptoms include headaches, loss of appetite, aches, pains, fever and coughing. It is treated with antibiotics. Symptoms can begin between two to 10 days after contracting the bacteria.
