HIALEAH, Fla. -- Authorities say a South Florida police officer shot a burglary suspect in the neck.
Hialeah police responded to a marine supply business Wednesday morning after a caller reported seeing a man jump over a fence in front of the building. The Miami Herald reports that officers confronted the suspect, who took off in a truck.
Authorities say police fired at the truck, which crashed into three other vehicles. The suspect was hit at least once in the neck. He was taken to a Miami hospital. His condition wasn't immediately available.
The business owner told police the suspect may have been a former customer.
