NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. (WBBH) -- One egg in the bald eagle nest shown on the North Fort Myers Eagle Cam has hatched.
More than two million
people, from around the world, have watched the Eagle Cam in North Fort Myers.
We've been giving you an
up close look at Ozzie and Harriet for the last few weeks as they get ready to
welcome two new members to their family.
One of the two eggs in the nest hatched overnight - adding a new chapter to the
eagles' legend, which has already gone viral over the internet.
Six years ago, the
eagles made their home on Dick Pritchett's property in North
Fort Myers.
They draw crowds each year. But the camera the family installed this fall,
positioned six feet above the nest, shares the experience with the world.
"I used to be half eagle
expert, half real estate agent but I think I'm almost full time eagle expert
now," said Andrew Pritchett.
Pritchett says he wants
to add a second camera, hoping the video that is already captivating audiences
can educate them as well.
