WILLISTON, Fla. -- A puppy found buried alive near Gainesville now has a new home.
Police were out destroying evidence per court orders when they heard the puppy now named Tucker whimpering near a pit area.
They found him buried six to eight inches deep last week. They quickly took him to the Levy Animal Clinic where the veterinarian says he was healthy and well fed.
One of the vet techs has adopted Tucker.
A $2,000 reward is now being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever buried the puppy.
