Flooding shuts down Main Street Bridge for 5 hours

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Severe thunderstorms rolled through Jacksonville Saturday afternoon and the downpour caused the Main Street Bridge to shut down for five hours.

According to JSO, flooding was the cause.

The southbound lanes of the bridge on the northside were cut off during most of the afternoon.

The lanes reopened around 5 p.m.
