UNF using dogs to de-stress students

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Stress relief is on its way for University of North Florida students just in time for finals!

The PAWS Your Stress event will feature 12 furry friends from Canine Companions for Independence.

The pets will be on campus Monday at noon in the Student Union Game Room in building 58E on the 1st floor.

According to research, interaction with pets increases endorphins, known as the happiness hormone, and decreases the level of cortisol, a stress hormone found in people.

Good luck on your finals UNF!
