JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Whether its baroque or Tony Braxton, Joe McDomick knows how to captivate an audience.
"I'm crazy so it's not like a traditional class," McDomick said. "I think that makes it kind of interesting."
After 17 years in banking, a concert led him in a different direction: to the Sandalwood High School chorus room.
It's much more than singing. McDomick mixes in geography, history and vocabulary as they move through each style of music.
"Every day, my goal as a teacher is have one kid realize one thing every day," McDomick said. "And when it happens, a lightbulb goes off and you can see it and it makes it all worth it."
