ORANGE PARK, Fla. -- Though she's quite accomplished for her age, Shannon Hill, a tenth grader at Fleming Island High School, doesn't like to brag.
She excels in academics.
"I have a 4.3 GPA from last year," said Hill.
She's involved in her school's organizations.
"National Honors Society, Beta Club, I've done everything!" she said.
She also works part time as a Tae Kwon Do instructor.
"I've been doing it for eight years. I started when I was in third grade. I'm a third-degree black belt."
All while finding time to be a teenage girl.
"I like to shop. Aeropostale, Hollister, stuff like that."
One of her teachers, Michael Green, said Shannon is a solid student who works hard.
"Shannon is a joy to teach. The best part about it is, I can give her suggestions, and she'll try it whether she knows what I'm talking about or not," Green says.
Even though she's just a sophomore, Shannon has already tested out of two college courses and is planning to go to medical school.
"I want to be a doctor," she said. "When I was two, I wanted to be a baby doctor, but now that I teach Tae Kwon Do, I want to go into sports medicine."
