JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office bomb squad responded to the Cedar Creek Baptist Church and Christian School Wednesday morning regarding a suspicious package.
According to JSO Assistant Chief Pat Ivey , the package contained items being returned by a former employee who had coached at the school.
About 150 students at Cedar Creek Baptist Church and Christian School were temporarily relocated to The Potter's House, a private school nearby, while JSO investigated Ivy stated.
Cindy Voutour, a spokesperson for the Sheriff's Office, said Lane Avenue to Lenox Avenue and Lane Avenue to Park Street on the Southside of Park street were closed off while the bomb squad detonated the package.
