JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Duval County school board is reviewing three open positions today during its meeting this evening.
The Duval County Public Schools Board is expected to vote on position descriptions for three public relations positions: supervisor of public relations/marketing; supervisor of development; and video communications.
Each position's salary ranges between $49,111 and $89,528.; the Times-Union reported that that the total cost for the three positions
including benefits if paid the top salary would be of
$373,332.
The public relations supervisor would be responsible for raising "public knowledge, awareness and appreciation of the district."
The development supervisor would "develop, sell and maintain" a "marketing program to generate revenue to support athletics, media and events."
The video communications employee would oversee developing television programs and video communications tools for the district.
Superintendent Ed Pratt-Dannals told the TU that filling the positions was "absolutely critical," stressing the importance for any organization of being able to communicate its message.
