Duval County Public Schools launches safety hotline to report threats

Duval County Public Schools (DCPS) has announced the activation of a new hotline at (904) 348-SAFE (7233) and 348SAFE@duvalschools.org to report threats.

According to DCPS, the 348SAFE hotline is available for anyone, including parents and students to anonymously call or email about potential threats to a DCPS school campus or on a bus.

The hotline is operated and managed by Duval County School Police.

“Creating this hotline is an additional strategy in keeping our schools safe as we are committed to providing secure campus environments conducive to learning,” said DCPS Superintendent Dr. Nikolai Vitti. “We will encourage our students, parents, staff, and community to use the 348SAFE hotline as we know early intervention by local law enforcement and school administration de-escalates threats, reduces disruptions, and allows our educators to focus on teaching and learning.”
