BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — The Brevard County woman convicted of starving her boyfriend's son and tying him up will be sentenced on Friday.
Sharon Glass could spend the rest of her life in prison.
In January, a jury convicted her of child abuse, neglect and false imprisonment after seeing the pictures of the starved 13-year-old. The boy only weighed 40 pounds when he was rescued.
Investigators said the pair would lock the boy in a closet or zip-tie him to a bed for days.
She blamed the abuse on the boy's father, Michael Marshall, saying she was afraid of retribution from her live-in-boyfriend.
Marshall pleaded no contest to eight charges of child abuse, torture, and false imprisonment last month.
