Wanted: Two suspects in diamond ring theft

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- Deputies are searching for two men in connection with a robbery at the Zales Outlet in St. Augustine.

The incident happened May 31 just before 12 p.m. when two men entered the store and sat down at the counter, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators say one of the men, distracted a sales woman while the other reached over the counter and took two diamond rings.

The store clerks did not realize the rings had been stolen until the suspects left, deputies say. The retail value of the rings is approximately $13,000.
