Teen behind bars in connection to robbery, stabbing at Westside Metro PCS

The man who robbed and stabbed a 64-year-old Metro PCS employee on Friday night has been identified and is currently in police custody, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Police have arrested and charged 18-year-old Emery Handy in connection to the March 18 incident at the Metro PCS store that's located in the 8000 block of Ramona Boulevard. According to police, the teen has been charged with armed robbery with a deadly weapon and attempted murder. 

Handy was transported to the Police Memorial Building for an interview and provided a full confession to the armed robbery and was booked into jail, police report.
