Suspect flees on foot following Wells Fargo bank robbery on San Juan Avenue

Bank robbery likely led to deadly standoff

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is on the scene of a reported Wells Fargo robbery on San Juan Ave. 

According to police the suspect walked into the bank at around 9:15 a.m. and displayed a handgun. Police say the man demanded cash and left the bank on foot. No reported injuries at the bank. 

As of 12:00 p.m. First Coast News has learned the scene at the bank has pretty much cleared but there's still police tape inside the building. 

Police are still searching for the suspect. 

Last month the same Wells Fargo bank was robbed. Police are still searching for that suspect.
