Starke man held on $70k bond for burglary charges

STARKE, Fla. -- Deputies in Bradford County arrested and charged a Starke man suspected of committing multiple burglaries.

James David Petrie, 40, is facing charges related to a Feb. 10 burglary in the area of Southeast State Road 100, according to a release from the Bradford County Sheriff's Office. Petrie is charged with armed burglary, grand theft of a firearm and grand theft.

Thousands of dollars in stolen property was recovered and follow-up investigations are being conducted where Petrie is the prime suspect, the release detailed.

Petrie is currently being held in the Bradford County Jail on a $70,000 bond.
