Restaurant cleared after bomb threat

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A bomb-sniffing dog was called out to a Westside restaurant evacuated on the heels of a bomb threat Friday night, police said.

It turned out to be a false alarm.

The threat was made to the Applebee's in the 6200 block of 103rd Street about 10:45 p.m., according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. The restaurant was cleared, but no explosives or devices were found during a search of the building.

Nobody was hurt.
