RAW VIDEO: Police searching for robbery suspects

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is searching for suspects who robbed a Family Dollar store Monday at approximately 2:20 a.m. in the 6600 San Juan Avenue.

Police said, extensive damage was found in front of the business. The large front window was completely shattered.

According to the police report, a witness said he was awakened from a deep sleep by a very loud crashing sound. He then looked out of the window of his apartment from across the street of the store and saw than an older model gray pickup truck had backed into the front of the store through the wall.

The witness then saw suspects get into the truck and drive away toward the southwest on San Juan Avenue.

The investigation showed a truck running into the store. The rear of the vehicle was used to ram the wall of the store and two suspects exited the vehicle.

The suspects then entered the store, stole the safe and placed the safe in the vehicle and drove off.

Police said the vehicle, that was used in the burglary, was stolen prior to the incident taking place and has been recovered. Investigators are attempting to identify the two suspects.
