FDLE: Missing child alert for 7-year-old called off, child found safe

The boy and his mom were found at Orlando International Airport. The mom is wanted for questioning in death investigation in Jax Beach.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) has reported that 7-year-old has been found safe Friday.

FDLE has issued a missing child alert Friday after the Jacksonville Beach Police Department found a woman dead at 210 10th Street N around 4 p.m. They say the child's mom, Marla E. D'Andrea, was wanted for questioning in the death investigation and believed he was with her.

FDLE tweeted around 9:15 p.m. he was found safe.

The Jacksonville Beach Police said the two were found at Orlando International Airport.

Neighbor James Hayward says he’s shocked something like this happened in his neighborhood.

"It’s very laid-back very mellow area," he said. "Everyone is really nice to each other."

Hayward is happy the little boy was found safe.

"Anytime kids are involved you think, gosh being a father, it's something that you don't want to see happen to any kind of family."
