Police searching for Family Dollar robbery suspect

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police are searching for a suspect who burglarized a Family Dollar located at 3544 Beach Boulevard August 25.

The burglary took place around 2:15 a.m. A male suspect, wearing a blue ski mask, gloves and carrying a blue backpack kicked in the front glass door to get inside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Police say the suspect used a sharp object to break the front glass door. He then attempted to open the locked cigarette steel case.

The suspect was unsuccessful and fled the scene on foot.
