ROCKLEDGE, Fla. — Police are trying to figure out if any more children may have been sexually abused at a Rockledge church.
Anthony William Berch, of Cocoa, is charged with sexually assaulting at least two children in separate incidents at the Faith Life Outreach Christian Cathedral.
Officials said a 12-year-old boy was alone in the church's sound room when he was approached by Berch.
According to the arrest affidavit, the boy said Berch unzipped his pants, pulled out his penis and then slapped the boy with it. Berch then told the boy he would give him two Gatorade drinks if he put Berch's penis in his mouth for five seconds.
When the boy refused, Berch is accused of picking up a Phillips-head screwdriver, pointing it at the boy and saying, "If you tell anyone, I will kill you."
Police said Berch threatened the boy again, this time with a bullet saying, "You see this is real. Remember what I told you last time. If you snitch, I'll kill you."
Berch faces several charges including lewd and lascivious molestation and simple assault with intent or threats of violence. He is being held without bond.lice-man-molested-boy-at-church/24834760#ixzz2vBfL8TlD
