Police bust Westside meth lab, 3 arrested

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Three people were arrested Tuesday night after police found an active meth lab inside a home on the Westside.

Jacksonville Sheriff's Office detectives responded to the Americana Trailer Park in the 6100 block of Townsend around 8 p.m. and allegedly found remnants of a methamphetamine lab inside one of the trailers, according to JSO Sgt. J.L. Carney.

After further investigation, police found an active meth lab inside the trailer and evacuated nearby residents for a period of time, Carney detailed. A man and two women were found inside the home and taken into custody. All three are facing multiple charges.

Jacksonville Fire and Rescue also responded to the scene to assist with decontamination and clean-up.

The identities of the suspects have not been released as of Tuesday night.
