Police asking for potential sexual battery victims tied to Avenues massage parlor to come forward

Masseuse arrested for sexual battery

Police are asking Monday for any potential sexual battery victims tied to an Avenues mall massage parlor to come forward.

Since February 11, three people have reported a sexual battery or attempted sexual battery at Body and Sole Massage inside The Avenues, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says.

Officers have arrested an employee of the business for sexual battery: Qiting Duan, 32.

One report released by the sheriff's office detailed one incident. A woman went with her fiance for a couple's massage at Body and Sole with a coupon, the reports says. It was her first time getting a massage.

Duan reportedly gave her a normal massage up until it was time for her to flip over onto her back. He then touched her private area several times before she pushed him away, the report says.

The victim was nervous about bringing up the incident to management because Duan was still around afterward. She told her fiance when they left the store and the couple was nervous about saying anything until two days later when they went to police.

If there are more victims of this employee, the sheriff's office is asking them to come forward by contacting them at 904-630-0500.

Corrections and clarifications: The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office called the massage parlor 'Body and Soul' in their release to the media. Upon further review, the parlor in question is actually called 'Body and Sole.'
