More Internet cafes raided, 5 arrested

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Two more internet cafes were raided in Jacksonville Friday afternoon.

The Senior Social Center in the 4500 block of Blanding Boulevard was taped off as police investigated the business.

Another gambling facility was raided in the 5200 block of Normandy Boulevard.

Five employees were arrested on gambling charges, according to JSO.

"Sheriff Rutherford isn't playing" says statewide prosecutor Nick Cox. JSO is seizing every piece of electronics used in the crime.

JSO had been investigating the cafes since last summer and the operation is still ongoing. Owners and landlords are on notice and could be prosecuted.
