Man sought in connection to armed robbery

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office and the Palatka Police Department are working together to find a suspect in connection to convenience store robberies.

An unidentified suspect robbed the Kangaroo gas station recently on N. State Road 19 in Palatka and an unidentified suspect also committed armed robbery on a S.R. 207 convenience store on Monday morning.

The man entered the S.R. 207 convenience store and walked around a food display before approaching the night manager from behind with a gun, according to a SJSO press release. The manager put an unknown amount of money in a Race Trac plastic bag and gave it to the suspect, who then left the store.

According to the release, the manager noticed a dark in color sedan traveling south on S.R. 207.

The suspect is around 5-foot 7-inches or 9-inches tall and 170 pounds. He was wearing a dark blue jump suit, blue and white knitted cap, and black boots and knitted gloves.
