Man shot on Westside after argument

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to reports of a shooting on the Westside Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred in the 3000 block of North Detroit Circle around 11:55 a.m. according to Lt. Ashish Sircar with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Two women allegedly got into an argument with a man who was walking down the street. One of the women allegedly shot the unidentified victim in the upper body following an argument, Lt. Sircar detailed.

The victim was taken to UF Health Jacksonville in non-life threatening condition.

The female suspects are described as young females, while the victim is described as a middle-aged man in his forties to fifties.
