JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The State Attorney's Office announced Medford McCullough has pleaded guilty to a child sex crime.
The 56-year-old man entered the guilty plea Thursday afternoon to charges of attempted capital sexual battery, lewd or lascivious molestation, lewd or lascivious exhibition, two counts of use of child in a sexual performance and six counts of possession of child pornography.
According to the State Attorney's Office, McCullough had inappropriate sexual relations with two child victims under 18. The activity took place between April and July 2012. During that time, McCullough touched the victims and made them pose nude in sexual position while he took pictures.
He was sentenced to 40 years in prison, with a 25-year minimum mandatory, followed by life probation. McCullough was also named a Sexually Violent Predator.
