Local woman arrested in check forgery case

UPDATE: February 4, 2014 2:56 p.m.

Gwenda Faye Green, 62, was arrested and charged with 11 fraud related felonies, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

JSO alerted the public January 9, that Green was wanted in connection to stolen checks that were being used at a Wal-Mart located on Norwood Avenue.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is searching for the female suspect seen in the attached photograph for making purchases with stolen checks.

JSO reported an auto burglary that took place on December 8 in the 5000 block of Norwood Avenue.

A witness saw two young male suspects burglarize a car and flee on foot to a nearby neighborhood.

Police said the unknown female suspect was seen in Wal-Mart making purchases using the checks stolen from the vehicle.

The male seen in the photo is a person of interest, according to JSO.
