Michael Farrell turned himself in to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Farrell was the suspect involved in the SWAT callout Sunday on Glen Gardner Drive.
Farrell was charged with aggravated assault and felony domestic battery by strangulation.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- UPDATE, 6:00 p.m.: The man believed to have barricaded himself inside a home on the Southside was never inside the home when SWAT arrived, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
JSO is now looking for Michael Farrell, the man who was believed to be inside the home during a SWAT standoff Sunday afternoon.
Ferrell is wanted on previous charges of aggravated domestic assault and domestic battery including strangulation, according to JSO.
JSO now believes Ferrell lived in the home on Glen Gardner Drive that was the center of the neighborhood's attention.
JSO is asking citizens to be on the look out for Ferrell. A mug shot will be released to the media shortly.
UPDATE: SWAT is negotiating with a 21 year old man who barricaded himself inside a home on Glen Gardner Drive.
JSO said the man and his father got into an argument around 12:30 Sunday afternoon. During the argument the son grabbed a gun. The father left the house a short time later and police were called, though JSO said it does not know who called.
Police have been called to the residence numerous times before, JSO says, however it cannot confirm those calls involved the same suspect and victim. JSO did confirm the suspect has a criminal history.
Homes in the area have not been evacuated, but Glen Gardner Drive is closed to traffic and the neighborhood is on "lockdown", according to JSO.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office SWAT team is responding to a call out in a Southside neighborhood.
SWAT is at the 2200 block of Glen Gardner Dr.
Witnesses on the scene told First Coast News SWAT members were walking the streets armed with assault weapons.
No official information has been released by JSO.
JSO has blocked off a large section of Glen Gardner Drive.
