Kangaroo armed robbery suspect sought

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police are searching for an armed robbery suspect.

An unidentified suspect entered the Kangaroo store in the 8300 block of Baymeadows Road at 8:30 p.m. Saturday and pulled a ski mask over his face before he turned to the counter, according to a release from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. The suspect showed the store clerk a black and silver semi-automatic handgun and demanded all the money in the register including the change before fleeing the store on foot in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a man in his early twenties, 5-feet 9-inches tall and weighs 140 pounds, according to JSO. At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing a grey Nike hooded sweatshirt, a black ski mask, three quarter length baggy dark shorts, black and white tennis shoes and black gloves.
