JSO investigating Arlington shooting

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police responded to reports of a large amount of blood found in a yard in Arlington Tuesday morning.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to the 9000 block of Jasper Avenue at 11:30 a.m. and found a man shot in the upper torso. Jacksonville Fire and Rescue responded and transported the unidentified victim to an area hospital according to JSO Sgt. Beau Bottin.

Investigators believe a dispute preceded the gunfire, according to JSO. The nature of the argument is unknown at this point and the relationship between the shooter and victim is also unknown.
