Former principal arrested for child molestation

COBB COUNTY, Ga. -- A former grade school principal has been arrested by Cobb County Police for child molestation.

Jack Duane Hibbs, 57, of Marietta was arrested by detectives and charged with four counts of aggravated child molestation.

Hibbs, who was the principal at the Faith Lutheran School in Marietta, is being held without bond at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.

As of Thursday night, Hibbs was still listed on the church's website as the principal of the school.

According to detectives, the male victim, who was 15 years old at the time of the alleged crimes, reported the molestation to police.

Investigators do not believe this is an isolated incident and are asking for the public's assistance in helping them to identify any other possible victims.
