Former JSO corrections officer arrested

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A former Jacksonville Sheriff's Office corrections officer is facing charges of conspiracy to introduce contraband into a correctional facility.

Francisco Rodriguez was arrested Thursday after an investigation was conducted by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Integrity Unit, according to a release from JSO.

The investigation started when Rodriguez was a probationary employee with JSO. Rodriguez was terminated from JSO in Feb. 2014 for allegedly falsifying his employment application with respect to his residency.
