Machete-carrying burglar sought by JSO

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police say an unidentified man robbed a Family Dollar located at 3544 Beach Boulevard Tuesday with a machete.

The suspect used the machete to break the glass out of the front door and entered, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

JSO say the suspect tried to open the cigarette case but was unsuccessful. The suspect stole cigarette lighters, underwear, t-shirts and cash.

According to investigators, the suspect wore an army green long sleeve shirt, army green pants, LA Dodgers blue baseball cap and white latex gloves. The suspect also appeared to have a goatee.
