Life in prison for attempted murder charge

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man was sentenced to life in prison Wednesday after being convicted in February for attempted murder in the second degree.

Denard William Robinson, 21, was involved in a drug-related argument in October 2012 that led to a shooting, according a release from the State Attorney's Office.

Robinson shot 26-year-old Lesha Mann, who was walking her dog nearby. The shooting left Mann paralyzed from the waist down.

A 17-year-old was also hit during the shooting and left with non-life-threatening injuries.

Vernon "Yodi" Robinson was also arrested in the shooting.
