5 arrests made after drug trafficking warrant served

LAKE CITY, Fla. -- Five people were arrested Friday after a drug trafficking search warrant was served on a residence in the 700 block of NW Long Street.

Three of the occupants of the home were arrested in connection with suspected marijuana, drug paraphernalia and cocaine found in the home, according to a release from Lake City Police Department Public Information Officer Craig Strickland.

Two other individuals were arrested after they "began to interfere with officers who were attempting to conduct the investigation," Strickland said.

The following people were arrested, charged and transported to the Columbia County Detention Facility:

-Devonte C. Wilson, 21; Possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana

-Michael Deon Rolle, 35; Resist officer, probation violation

-Franklin Lamont Rolle, 31; Possession of cocaine with intent to sell; sale of cocaine

-Porsche Lynette Jones, 20; Possession of cocaine with intent to sell; sale of cocaine

-Gregory Jerome Hawkins Jr., 28; Resist officer

The search warrant was served as part of the LCPD's Criminal Interdiction Unit. They were assisted by the Gateway High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas Initiative, which is made up of members of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Columbia County Sheriff's Office and the LCPD.
