Cash register thief wanted by police

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police are searching for a burglary suspect accused of breaking into a store and taking a cash register.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to an alarm at the Family Dollar in the 9100 block of Lem Turner Road at 2:16 a.m. Monday morning, according to a release from JSO. When police arrived, they found a portion of the front glass door shattered and a cash register missing from the store.

A suspect was caught on surveillance video and police are seeking the public's help identifying him.

Anyone who has any information about the location or identity of the unknown suspect is asked to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at 904-630-0500.
