Brunswick man arrested for Circle K robbery

BRUNSWICK, Ga. -- Police in Brunswick arrested a 26-year-old for allegedly robbing a Circle K store early Monday morning.

Robert Lee Johnson, 26, is accused of robbing the Circle K convenience store in the 4000 block of Community Road, according to the Glynn County Police Department.

The store clerk said Johnson came into the store and demanded money around 1:30 a.m. Monday.

The clerk said during the robbery, Johnson was carrying what she believed to be a concealed weapon, although the weapon was never displayed.

Without harming the clerk, Johnson left the store with an undisclosed amount of money and tobacco products. His clothing was recovered shortly after the robbery in the 4000 block of Old Cypress Mill Road by the Uniformed Patrol Division, according to police.

Johnson was arrested and charged with armed robbery January 29.
