Another local child left in hot car

ORANGE PARK, Fla. -- According to our news partner, The Florida Times-Union, deputies arrested Jessica Desaray Burroughs Tuesday for leaving her child in a hot car.

Reportedly, three women were watching the child from their driveways, according to The Florida Times-Union.

The Clay County Sheriff's Office received a call just before 5 p.m. Fifteen minutes later a deputy made contact with Burroughs, reports say.

Deputies say all windows were rolled down and neighbors were asked by Burroughs to watch the child while she went inside her home to use the restroom, said sheriff's spokeswoman Mary Justino.

Deputies found the boy sweating but responsive. The child had urinated on himself.

Burroughs was arrested and charged with leaving a child unattended in a motor vehicle in excess of 15 minutes.

The Department of Children and Families is investigating.
