A couple was robbed while walking at Goulds Inlet's beach park on St. Simons Island over the weekend

ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga.—A couple walking along the beach at Goulds Inlet on St. Simons Island was robbed by two men over the weekend that told them to get on the ground but didn't show a gun, police say.

The couple, from Jesup, Ga., was walking along the beach at about 4 a.m. on Sunday morning after parking at a lot in Goulds Inlet, says the Glynn County Police Department on Facebook.

While returning to their cars, two men walked up to them and told them to get on the ground and while the suspects didn't show a gun, one of them referenced one.

The men took the man's wallet and other items, but took nothing from the woman, police say.

Neither victim could provide a description of the suspects.
