3 carjackers who shot victim in face wanted

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The search continues for three carjacking suspects who shot their victim in the face in the Ft. Caroline area Saturday, April 12. Investigators say they have exhausted all leads and are turning to the public for help.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office say the victim reports that three males shot him in the face and took his vehicle in the early hours of April 12. He told deputies he heard a car crash down the road from his residence, then got into his vehicle to drive over to the crash location to make sure everyone was alright.

He said three males walked towards hi, waived him down and stated they needed help with a tire. Once he got out of his car, one of the suspects pulled out a small caliber revolver and shot him in the face. The three suspects took his vehicle and drove eastbound on Ft. Caroline Rd.

The victim was shot in his lower left jaw. His car was recovered shortly in the 5700 block of Tarpon Court.
