Clay electric bills rounded up for charity

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Once October arrives, Clay Electric will have your bill automatically round up to the nearest dollar -- and it's all for charity.

The company says the extra money will go to the Clay Electric Foundation to be dispersed to benefit different organizations.

According to Clay Electric, all funds will stay in the community and will be managed by volunteer trustees.

Clay Electric says the average amount donated each month will be 50 cents, with a max of $11.88 a year.

Everyone is automatically enrolled, so if you want to opt out, contact Clay Electric.
