JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A bus caught fire near the engine on I-95 and Old St. Augustine Rd. at around 5:30 a.m. Sunday.
Twenty six people were traveling from Georgia to Miami on a bus, passing through Jacksonville, when the driver noticed his gauges fluctuating.
The driver pulled the bus to the side of the road to check the engine when he saw a small fire. He attempted to use a fire extinguisher to stop the fire while the passengers evacuated and got their luggage out of the bus. However, the fire extinguisher did not stop the fire, which engulfed the back half of the bus.
No one was injured in this incident.
