JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police found a suspected portable meth lab at Southside Estates Park next to Southside Estates Elementary School, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Police discovered the suspected meth lab in a dugout of one of the baseball fields at the parks, according to Sgt. Chuck Ford with the Sheriff's Office.
Ford says a call was received at 1:25 p.m. Sunday about the possible meth lab.
A bomb squad responded to the scene.
Police gathered the materials from the suspected meth lab for proper disposal.
Investigators are unsure how long it had been there, but the park is now considered to be safe, according to Ford.
